The use of industrial aluminum profiles in aerospace industry
The aluminum alloy processed by CNC machining of Shanghai aluminum profiles has a wide range of prospects for use in aerospace components, such as high-strength aluminum alloy thick plates as the main load-bearing components, accounting for 30% to 35% of the total aluminum consumption on aircraft. Nowadays, the aluminum alloy materials used in aviation civil aircraft mainly include aluminum alloy castings, aluminum alloy forgings, large section Shanghai aluminum profiles, aluminum alloy thick plates, etc. In the materials used for the ARJ21-700 and C919 large passenger planes with independent intellectual property rights in China, Shanghai extruded aluminum and aluminum alloy components account for 65% to 75% of the total weight of the aircraft. Extruded profiles made of high-strength aluminum alloy materials account for 30% -35% of the total aluminum consumption in aircraft.
According to the plan, by 2018, more than 30% of the aluminum alloy materials used in ARJ21 regional aircraft and C919 large aircraft will be made of domestically produced aluminum materials. Currently, the share of domestically produced materials used on China's large aircraft C919 is only 5% to 6%. In recent years, the investment ratio of aluminum alloy in the aircraft market will see a qualitative increase.
According to analysis and speculation, the global air passenger volume is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 4.7% between 2014 and 2023. The number of new passenger and cargo aircraft will reach 19000, and approximately 12400 low fuel available aircraft will be retired and replaced by new aircraft. The global demand for new wide body passenger and cargo aircraft will reach approximately 9300, accounting for 30% of the total number of new aircraft during the same period. The global number of aircraft is expected to increase by 1, with Asia experiencing a growth rate of 35%.
According to the speculation of China Aviation Industry Corporation, by 2025, the number of air transport aircraft in China will reach 3900, including 2000 large passenger planes.
China's aviation manufacturing industry has entered a period of rapid development, with the production of private aircraft, civil aviation, and large aircraft increasing year by year. In recent years, the scale of the aviation aluminum market will continue to grow.
